We’ve have quite a few busy weekends but we managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Clachan of Campsie for a little wander. Here’s what we found…
Clachan of Campsie is a small town near the Campsie Fells and is a nice little place where a few local walks start from. We chose a short walk into the Campsie Glen which begins from the visitor centre and tea room of the town. Though it turned out to be even shorter than we thought as the path was closed due to rock fall, it was a nice spot for some fresh air.

Our route took us along the water side with some nice spots including a few waterfall areas. Though there was still a lot of greenery around there was certainly a good share of autumnal colours as well.

After our short walk in the Campsie Glen we walked part of the Clachan of Campsie – Lennoxtown Way which joins the two towns and gives a very nice view of the Campsies themselves. We also seemed to make a friend on the route who was intent on keeping an eye on us.
