From San Francisco I had to make it to Los Angeles to start my planned camping tour and after some deliberation the bus was the best option! $10 Megabus was a bargain but the 9 hour journey was a bit of a killer.
Isn’t it odd how many people queue up to go to prison in San Francisco? Of course I mean Alcatraz. Read about my visit to the United States Penitentiary, Alcatraz Island and how I save a few bucks off my ticket
Having opted for the Hop-On-Hop-Off tour during my San Francisco visit I decided to make the most of the $42 bus ticket and ensuring I did the whole San Francisco tour including the Night Tour and Sausalito City extras.
Sometimes it’s all about being in the right place at the right time and on my first full day in San Francisco it turned out I was in for another bargain museums day at the California Academy of Sciences. And of course who could skip the Golden Gate Bridge when you’re right next door.
Travelling from Toronto to San Francisco was certainly an interesting experience for me with confusing transport, scary customs procedures and not a great first impression into city.
