Back to Toronto for the last two days in Canada before onward to the USA. But I manage to get in a bargain museum visit and of course another trip to the Toronto Islands before I leave.
So back in Toronto after my short trip up to Niagara but in a different part of the city I get to soak up a bit more sun and explore a few more Toronto attractions. First spot is a bit of a bust though. I head to a spot called Fort York which is an open air museum and site of a battle long ago. Its also a pretty price place to visit so I end up having lunch is the adjacent park instead and going a wander along the water front.
I decide to do a second trip out to Toronto Islands and try to get a bit of a tan before moving on. I explore a different section on the Centre Island that has just as pretty views of the CN Tower before heading for a beachy filled afternoon.
Last day in Toronto is Friday, and luckily I’ve done my research and after 4pm is “Best Value Fridays” at the Royal Ontario Museum meaning I save quite a few pennies. I end up spending ages in the ROM, which is actually huge. Eventually my little legs get tired having already done the 30mins walk to get there.
I head off for an early night as the morning brings an early flight and therefore even earlier start from my hostel. Did that alarm ready say 4.30am? Oh dear.
